So for you custom car lovers out there, I want to take a guess that the badass hot rod is the ultimate goal for some of you – not for everyone though. So if you could build your very own, how would you do? Perhaps the finalised, finished and perfected hot rod or would you go for something a little more insane?
This awesome ratrod is the epitome of cool. It’s got the wheels, the bucket seats and the ragged frame that really pulls this design altogether. I think I’m in love.
A closer look at this badass hot rod
I won’t go into too much detail because words really do escape me and I think this badass hot rod has enough attitude to speak for itself.
We’ve got the insane custom exhaust coming up behind the wheel, I do like the look of that, and let’s not ignore the huge-ass tires on this thing!
I like the open design up front that lets the engine peek through on it’s own and gives us a glimpse at the stainless steel normally under the hood.
The air suspension is a perfect little touch to get it low enough it’s actually on the ground but if I’m completely honest, I’d have to say my favourite little thing is the tubular chassis design that they’ve gone for. Boring through it like that is a great way it strengthen the tubes but adds a little style to it at the same time – pretty nifty handiwork, right?
Taking a look inside
The inside of the car is kept pretty simpler, but I think it works. You’ve got the brushed stainless steel bucket seat, steering wheel and gear stick that all match and then the dashboard is very similar to the standard Ford Roadster that you would have traditionally seen. But I think a lot of the time, simplicity is the best policy.
John Shope at Dirty bird Concepts really has an eye for detail with this one and seems to have got it all right. My only question is, what can you see out that windsreen?
